Yoghurt time
Recently Jaemie has impressed me with how he eats his yoghurt. Dipping his spoon in and placing it into his mouth but also placing his free hand into the yoghurt. Messy times ahead I think.

Happy 1st Father's Day
It’s crazy to think that a year ago to this day, I was quite heavily pregnant and Pepe was miffed that he missed out on Father’s Day. So in 2011, Pepe celebrated his first Father’s Day in style. It started with changing a rather potent nappy and then attempting to feed Jaemie and his expression tells you all.
Jaemie loves balloons and this one was specific for this day. Thanks to Aunty for the balloon too. It was a little time consuming to get the wording on the balloon and Jaemie actually looking at the camera at the same time but I eventually got there.
It was a glorious day and we decided to go on a picnic to Botanical Gardens. We walked through Bangaroo and Jaemie decided the walk was too long and wanted to get out and have his lunch. I also wanted to take a few action shots which you’ll see soon enough.
After having a play with his bib and spoon, he managed a few bites of his lamb and polished off his fruit salad. He has such a sweet tooth. He was happy as larry after his bottle of milk and crashed out in his pram.
That was great for us as we popped into Baroque and bought a few macaroons and made our way to Botanical Gardens. We found a patch of grass in the sun and enjoyed our picnic lunch and finished off with some yummy macaroons whilst Jaemie was having a long sleep.
We managed to get a kip and it wasn’t too long afterwards Jaemie woke up wanting to be apart of the action.
I was told at childcare that Jaemie loves his rice crackers so I bought a packet to check it out myself. It is sooo cute to watch him take these petite bites and wave the crackers about. Lucky we were outside as it does become a rather messy affair.
How cute is this, Jaemie made a card for Father’s day when he was at childcare. The card was covered in glitter, paint, a feather but I loved the photo inside showing him hard at work with his painting.
Wishing all the fathers’ out there a very Happy Father’s Day.

Loving the playpen
Jaeminkins is finally back to his usual self and no longer jetlagged. Now at 8.5 months he loves to move as he's starting to crawl. But his favourite past time is standing for long periods of time leaning on his musical table and hanging onto the playpen bars as you can see. I love how he's trying to eat the bars.
He loves to amuse himself for long periods by banging his hands and especially his toys - on any surface over and over again. Luckily I haven't had to listen to pots and pans clanking yet.
He loves reaching for toys and picking things up with his fingers, well more like a pincer grip rather than with the palm of his hand. He can easily rip paper and loves the target or any shopping catalogues for that reason.
He understands the words yes and no. He doesn't like it when I say no, as you can see by his not so happy reaction but it usually stops him from chewing his books to bits or putting those fingers into powerpoints.
It's been more difficult at meal times as he's become very assertive about wanting to feed himself. So I'm experiencing the pursed lips and bursts of mmmmming as he tries to pick food up between his fingers and place it in his mouth. Jaeminkins' mostly misses but its been a lot of fun cleaning up after him.....

Mountains weekend
Loving the boyz in hoods look. How cute are my two boys?
I got up to all those things I'd missed such as reading the paper, checking out hotels on the ipad, go for a walk to Schwarz's bakery for a pretzel. After all that, I soon began wondering where Jaeminkins had been hijacked to. Found him sitting on the deck watching Grandpa doing some landscaping. Just had to post these photos of him chilling out, he's too cute for words.
Had to add his cheeky grin and his king of the mountain outfit before he grew out of it. Can't belive he's 6 and half months already!
Jaeminkins loved chewing on Schwarz's bread. He wasn't a fan of the natural yoghurt but he was a fan of papaya. Grandparents already on the case of spoiling him with tasty tidbits.
Oh and my new favourite from Schwarz is a raspberry ginger tart, yum yum!

Swimmingly
Pepe and I had trouble in remembering the words and one of the activites was to put them on the mat in the water and sing 'Jelly on a Rock'. Only to find the following week when I was in the water it was 'Jelly on the Plate'. Classic!
How cute do all the babies look, all lined up.
He looked like he was enjoying the experience with the other babies or maybe not.
The following week was my turn in the pool. I'm loving the heated pool and I think Jaeminkins is getting used to it. He's such a water baby, he doesn't want to get out of the water even after being in the water for more than 40 minutes.
As the instructor pours water over his head and Jaemkins shuts his eyes and this action readies him for the eventual underwater dip. Jaeminkins was ready for the next step as the instructor dipped him underwater and he came up okay with it all.
After each lesson as soon as he's dried off and put back in the pram, it doesn't take long before he's fast asleep. But it's not for long, as the peace only lasted for 40min-1hr before his afternoon tea.
